When you get this message, please contact me immediately, because it's been the better part of a day and I'm worried now. So let me know when you get this, and please disregard any other messages you might have, and...
( after settling in a bit and allowing the natural side effects of being resurrected finally simmer down, he eases down to look over communication device. he used it to upload a rather “weak” attempt at gathering some information about the trials they just faced, but seeing as how that failed... brilliantly, he can only release a bit of sigh. on one hand, at least he could confirm allen was all right during the period of his absence, but even then, he kind of wondered why he seemed so worried. posters, he said. posters. that’s an overreaction, even for him. but, while that easily draws out a laugh from it, it’s cut short by the way his eyes don’t exactly leave the device. finally, reaching over, he gingerly picks it up; staring at it from all angles. he's vaguely heard of how this was generally supposed to be operated, and the light in the corner seems to beckon him to get a closer look. squinting, he peers into it, before allen's face pops up, and the mail begins playing accordingly.
putting his ear to where he assumes the receiver is, he listens intently.

so this was the reason for the way allen had initially replied to his inquiry in such a manner. )
( but, as the messages progress, his expression only becomes infinitely more worried, more in the way that allen seemed like he was fully prepared to exact his revenge than of actual apprehension. in this, his mind is already fully prepared in looking for the appropriate excuse. )
( only as it continues, does he actually begin to bite down at the gravity of the situation. he’s done his part in trying to remain cool and collected over the matters, despite his death, and even when he can’t exactly reflect on it and properly label it as that. lavi knows full well, it is what is. what’s done is done. he died, and while he can only be infinitely grateful for the opportunity to have been revived, it’s not something he can immediately voice. looking back down at the device, he smiles a little weakly. ) Sorry 'bout that, Allen... ( he says this to himself, but in the process, his finger hits some sort of vaguely masked key, and it sends out a call.
though, he doesn’t exactly know it yet. ) Guess I was the one to blame here. ( but, after these words, he just sits there in silence and stillness; still unaware of the fact that the line had already been connected. )
( when he hears the familiar tone of allen's voice, he immediately snaps his attention towards the receiver. he's incredulous at first, admittedly. shock settling into his features immediately. as if to prove it, he starts out with: ) A-allen!?
( except, once he does take the time to calm down, he finally allows his words to sink in. it was honestly a nice sentiment to hear something like that, but all the same, it's a weakness of a sign of vulnerability he'd rather not have displayed. shaking it off, he starts off on an entirely separate tangent. ) We all haven't met up in a while, huh? ( all is in lenalee, allen, yuu, himself, the four of them. )
[heh] ...It has been a while. [far longer than he's been in Haven]
It'll be good to get together. Though when we meet up, Lenalee will probably fuss over you. [this is a secret code that, if decoded, reads "Allen is going to fuss over you also"]
Then let's do it sometime soon? I talked about it to Lenalee a while back. ( when he first arrived, that is. ) Thinkin' about making it a party, y'know?
